At or some time before Patch 5.1, they were changed that so they could be deactivated by all classes. Whether or not Disarm Trap was used, each device will reactivate a short time later.

The suppression traps seem to have been changed recently, or something is bugged, as I was able to shut them down today on my Hunter. No complaints either way, as this room is annoying, having to walk at the speed of a snail.
