The NPC [npc=22890|First Fragment Guardian] appears when player opens the object [object=182196|Arcane Container]. In case the player kills the guardian, he will receive the first key fragment [item=24514|First Key Fragment] as reward which is also required to finish the quest [quest=9831|Entry Into Karazhan].
